Safety Systems Engineer 

      

Responsibilities:

•        Conduct safety assessments and evaluations of Naval systems, equipment, and                     procedures to identify potential hazards and risks.

•        Develop safety plans, protocols, and procedures in compliance with Naval regulations             and industry standards.

•        Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to integrate safety features into the             design and development of Naval systems.

•        Conduct safety audits and inspections of Naval facilities, vessels, and equipment to               ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

•        Investigate incidents and accidents involving Naval operations, analyzing root causes             and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

•        Provide safety training and guidance to Naval personnel on safety protocols,                           procedures, and best practices.

•        Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to Naval                   safety engineering.

 

Requirements:

•       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related military experience.

•       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

•       Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

•       Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required.

 

Preferred:

•       Experience in Naval safety engineering or a related field, preferably in a military or                  maritime environment.

•        Strong understanding of Naval systems, equipment, and operations.

•        Knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and protocols relevant to Naval operations.

•        Experience conducting safety assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

AEGIS System Engineer

 

·         Experience with DoD and/or US Navy / AEGIS Combat System

·         Support of the U.S. AEGIS Navy TECHREP in various technical aspects involving the             integration of the AEGIS Weapon System with Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD)                         functionality in an AEGIS Combat System environment;

·         Provide direct user interface support Combat System users in developing clear,                      achievable test objectives and assisting with review and development of laboratory                  test plans/procedures;

·         Provide console operations in support of special projects;

·         Determine functional status of laboratory equipment, computer programs and test                   systems, report problems, generate Trouble Reports (TR) and perform problem                       resolution;

·         Develop and review combat system simulation test scenarios

·         Reviews and analyzes U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and             Limitations

·         Integrate and conceptualizes the execution of Doctrine optimizing the application of                 ship's Combat Systems capabilities and limitation in the dynamic operational tactical                environment.

·         Review of technical specifications and related documents to ensure technical                          accuracy and applicability

·         Witnessing and assessment of tests conducted by the program developer and / or                   other Government agencies

·         Interface with the customer in performing test and evaluation activities

·         Support test implementation and execution;

·         Conduct specification requirements and test data analysis;

·         Analyze and document observed test deficiencies and track problem resolutions

·         Thorough understanding of the computer program development and test processes.

·         Strong analytical, problem solving, leadership skills and demonstrated ability to                       comprehend and work successfully with complex computer programs

·         Ability to work independently or as a member of a team

·         Must possess excellent oral and written skills and be able to work independently when             required.

·         Security Clearance / Background Check required. Your candidacy is subject to                         approval and acceptance.

·         Must be a US Citizen.

·         You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.               Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in removal.
