Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT)

 

SSTi provides AEGIS, non-MK 7, and Combat System Engineering (SE) activities for efforts regarding baseline production, certification, deployment, and ship underway engineering activities.  These activities include planning; execution assistance; problem resolution; engineering recommendations; and data assessment of Air Defense (AD), manned-raids, and Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQTs).  This includes AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) software requirements analysis; AD engineering, data analysis, engineering studies, concept formulation, trade-off analyses, and engineering recommendations concerning the evolution and advancement of existing AEGIS and future CG and DDG computing architectures, infrastructures, warfare, engagement and weapons areas, as well as related weapon and combat SE issues

 

The U.S. Navy selected SSTi to perform 

  • Scenario development
  • Land Based Test Site (LBTS) testing to verify performance, configuration, and to identify combat system issues
  • Develop pre-sail briefings for support personnel
  • Perform Combat System requirememts assessment, 
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of issues observed by shipboard personnel and land-base analysts
  • Develop mission briefing materials
  • Conduct post mission issue resolution in coordination with Aegis Elemement Engineers
