 Capabilities:

Fleet Support:

SSTi provides Surface Fleet support including Program Management, Performance Assessment, Problem Identification/Resolution, Installation Support and Crew Training. SSTi performs rapid prototyping and analytical modeling to quantify combat system performance prior to implementation. Examples include Aeolotropic Filter Modeling, Threat Modeling and Missile Acquisition performance assessment. SSTi has performed System Interface Simulation development in support of the Aegis Combat system. SSTi provides motivated, highly qualified engineering personnel that are adept in supporting a variety of tactical, simulation, and modeling at shore facilities and at sea. These capabilities include:

  • Program Management Support
  • Combat System Ship Qualification Trial
  • Performance Assessment
  • Problem Identification
  • Installation Support
  • Crew Training
Software Engineering, Development, Programming:

SSTi provides Naval Surface Warfare requirements analysis, software engineering, testing, performance assessment, and modeling support that includes the design, development, and test of the tactical Aegis SPY-1 Radar, Weapon Control System (WCS), Fire Control System (FCS), Aegis Combat Training System (ACTS), and middleware (ATOE) software. In addition, SSTi’s activities on the development and system integration of of state-of-the-art next generation Open Architecture (OA) tactical software will help lay the foundation to support the surface warrior well into the 21st Century
Project management:

SSTi combined the technical discipline, dedication, and people skills that are needed to ensure that a project achieves the intended results. SSTi employs a dedication to detail, thoughtful and innovative use of technology, and getting the best out of an array of personalities to build a team that is committed to achieving a common goal. On many projects, SSTi provides engineering expertise in support of a prime contractor. In all cases, SSTi became an integral part of the team, promoting the customer’s integrity, goals, and commitment to the end product.
System Performance Modeling:

SSTi employs state-of-the-art design techniques including rapid prototyping and modeling to determine system performance before system modifications are implemented. Using design tools such as MATLAB and SIMULINK, SSTi engineers have modeled and optimized proposed Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and AEGIS upgrades before valuable system resources were expended.
System Simulation:

The AEGIS Combat System Interface Simulator (ACSIS) is a real-time, multi-mission simulation system for testing of the AEGIS weapon system deployed on the CG-47 class cruiser and the DDG-51 class destroyer for the training of ship crew members. As a member of the development team, SSTi developed performance specifications and computer program specifications, developed code for the ACSIS program, performed system testing, enhancement analysis, problem resolution and document revision.
